COMMUNITY AGENCIES
Parents' Place provides information and education to improve knowledge so parents, caregivers, and professionals can become empowered, allowing them to advocate for their children more effectively. They serve the San Gabriel and Pomona valleys, and is committed to supporting and enhancing family focused services in a parent driven atmosphere for families who have children with special needs, 0-22 years of age. Parents' Place has bilingual staff, fluent in Spanish, Chinese/Mandarin and Vietnamese
The regional center coordinates services for people with developmental disabilities, developmental delay and their families. The goal of SGPRC is to provide service coordination and to secure services and supports which maximize opportunities and choices in living, working and learning in the community.

2025 Sirens of Silence - Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Join the County of Los Angeles Fire Department's Fourth Annual Sirens of Silence event hosted in partnership with the San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center.
Sirens of Silence is an opportunity for first responders and children with autism spectrum disorder and their parents/caregivers to learn from each other. The event will help familiarize and expose individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other disabilities to first responders, the Los Angeles County Fire Department's Sirens of Silence program partners with the San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center so children with disabilities can meet and interact with first responders in a welcoming and sensory-friendly space.
The first 400 registered families, served by the San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center will receive lunch!
Interpretation will be provided in Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese.
