Workplace Violence Prevention Plan:
Employee Evaluations: To access your evaluations for review, comment, or rebuttal, go to the Helios Evaluations Page.
Updating Employee Information: To change your name, address, and/or telephone number on file with the district, requests must be submitted in person at your designated school site/department or at the district office in Human Resources. The required form will be provided upon request and a valid state-issued photo ID must be presented for verification purposes. CERTIFICATED ONLY: To change your name on file with the district, additional documentation will be required. Please contact Human Resources at (626) 933-3840 for more information.
Employment Verification: To request verification of employment, send the required forms via e-mail to employeeverification@hlpusd.org or fax to (626) 934-4849. Please note: The district cannot provide verbal verifications of employment; all requests for employment information and verification of this information must be provided in writing.

Retirement Information
Planning your retirement? Prior to notifying Human Resources about your pending retirement, please contact your respective retirement plan provider to estimate your retirement benefits, determine your expected retirement date, and to update beneficiary and/or other retirement-related information:
Early Retirement Program (CERTIFICATED ONLY): "Early retirement" applies to employees retired before age 65; once an employee reaches age 65, they are no longer considered an "early retiree". To qualify for the Early Retirement (ER) Program, an employee must meet the following requirements:
- The employee shall have reached age 55.
- The employee shall have rendered a minimum of 15 years of service to the District.
- The employee shall retire under the provisions of STRS.
- Under the provisions of this article, an early retiree may not also participate in the fifty percent (50%) health insurance coverage for retirees and dependents delineated in Article XXV—Health/Dental/Vision Insurance Benefits.
- The employee shall resign his/her position with the District and may not return to regular employment with the District except under exceptional circumstances approved by the Board.
