Head Start is a Federally funded Program offered to qualifying families with preschool age children between  3 and 4 years of age). Both half day and full day classes are offered at various school sites throughout La Puente, Hacienda Heights, and Valinda.

REGISTERING MY CHILD IN THE HEAD START PROGRAM

If you are considering enrolling your child in the Head Start program you will need to submit the following documents to the main office:

  • Your child's Birth Certificate
  • Your child's immunization record
  • Your Picture I.D. or Driver's License
  • Proof of Address
  • Proof of Income 

A physical and current screening for TB will be required at the time of enrollment.

OUTCOMES REPORT

All Head Start students are assessed three times a year using the Desired Results Development Profile, a research-based observation tool, to determine the developmental level of each student in the areas of personal and social competence, effective learning, physical and motor competence, and health and safety.
