2025 June Superintendent Update

2025 June Superintendent Update
Nancy Yeang

Dear Hacienda La Puente Unified Community,

As we look ahead with excitement to the summer months and celebrate the many recent achievements and activities across our schools, I also want to take a moment to acknowledge the concern and uncertainty that our community members may be feeling. Recent immigration enforcement activity in Los Angeles, including the presence of military personnel, has understandably caused anxiety and fear for many.

Earlier this month, I shared a message reaffirming our District’s unwavering commitment to every student and family we serve. I want to once again extend our deepest empathy and support to those affected by these actions. At HLPUSD, we remain steadfast in our mission to provide a safe, inclusive, and welcoming learning environment where all students can thrive, regardless of their background.

While our students are engaging in enriching activities that support their academic and personal growth, we also want to remind you that we are here for you. If you or your family have specific needs or concerns, whether related to summer school programs or other issues, do not hesitate to reach out. At the end of this month’s Superintendent’s Update, we have included contact information and available resources to assist you.

To ensure you receive timely updates, announcements, and important information, including available support and resources, please make sure your ParentSquare contact information is current.

Hacienda La Puente Unified schools remain safe, welcoming spaces for all students and families. If you have any questions or need assistance, we encourage you to contact your school site or the District office.

In solidarity with our students and community,

Dr. Alfonso Jiménez
Superintendent
