A Message from the Superintendent Regarding the Upcoming Board Meetings

Dear Hacienda La Puente Unified Community, 

I want to remind you all about the two upcoming virtual/in-person Board of Education Meetings today, Tuesday, October 17 and tomorrow, Wednesday, October 18. 

Today's meeting will be a continuance of the Regular Board of Education Meeting held on October 12, and will resume at 5:30 p.m. in the District Office Board room. The meeting will continue with 5.0 Consent Items pulled for separate discussion and action and continue with the remaining agenda items. The public comments section of the agenda was already covered on Thursday, October 12 and therefore the continuation of this regular Board meeting does not include public comments.  

The Board will be holding a Special Study Session on October 18, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. to discuss declining enrollment affecting La Puente and Workman high schools. Members of the public wishing to provide public comment on this topic may do so by visiting the District's Board of Education webpage for more information on how to address the Board and gain access to the meeting. 

Public comments are an essential part of our Board meetings and we value the input of our community. Speakers are reminded to conduct themselves respectfully and to adhere to Board rules for public comment to ensure that everyone who wishes to speak has the chance to be heard. In addition, we ask that speakers remain mindful of the students and children who are a part of our audience and that we all serve as role models for good behavior and civil discourse.
