Hacienda La Puente Unified Student Non-Profit Hosts Holiday Fair for Elementary Students

Wrapping up the fall semester with joy and creativity, Glen A. Wilson High School’s student-led non-profit Teens2Tots brought holiday cheer to Grazide Elementary School on December 20 with their annual Christmas Fair. Excited students dashed from one activity station to another, crafting holiday-themed artwork and playing festive games, all guided by enthusiastic high school volunteers.

Co-founded in 2022 by Glen A. Wilson High School students Heeju Bahk and Stephanie Feng, Teens2Tots is dedicated to providing young students with accessible academic and social support. Their initiatives range from craft workshops to after-school tutoring programs, fostering connections between high school mentors and younger students. This year’s Christmas Fair welcomed over 100 transitional kindergarten and kindergarten students, showcasing the growing impact of Teens2Tots within the Hacienda La Puente Unified community.

“Organizing an event of this size was no small feat,” Co-President Stephanie Feng said. “But our experiences working with local schools like Cedarlane Academy and Bixby Elementary in the past really prepared us. Seeing the kids’ excitement and hearing them proudly share their finished craft projects made all our hard work worthwhile. My favorite part? Reading their adorable letters to Santa!”

What began as a school club at Wilson High School has flourished into a regional non-profit with branches at six high schools across Southern California. Teens2Tots is already looking ahead, with plans to expand their mission statewide.

“We’ve been focused on growing our presence through new branches and engaging more people on social media,”  Co-President Heeju Bahk  shared. “Our Instagram accounts, @teens2tots and @gawhs.t2t, are updated regularly to keep members and the community involved. Every share and follow helps us connect with more people and spread the word about what we do!”

With events like the Christmas Fair, Teens2Tots continues to embody the spirit of service and community, inspiring students to make a difference—one craft, game, and smile at a time.
