Reflecting on Our Achievements and Looking Ahead: A Thanksgiving Thank You

Dear Hacienda La Puente Unified School District Community,

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you — our dedicated students, staff, parents, local partners, and community members — for your continued support this school year. Together, we are building a vibrant and dynamic environment where every student is empowered to grow, excel, and reach their fullest potential.

Over the past four months, we’ve made incredible progress. Through the collective efforts of our students, staff, families, and local partners, we’ve successfully initiated the California Community Schools Partnership Program across 17 school sites. Additionally, we’ve made strides as part of the District-wide five-year strategic plan for our Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) programs, with the support of the California Department of Education's Arts and Music in Schools funding. These efforts, along with many others, are helping shape a brighter future for our students.

Our schools have shown their individuality and dedication to providing unique programs, extracurricular activities, and athletics, all aligned with our theme this year: "Transformative Learning, Pathways for Student Success." Thanks to each of you, these efforts are not just possible but thriving, and together, we are laying the foundation for a generation of students ready to make their mark on the world.

As we take this time to reflect and give thanks, I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to each one of you for being a part of this journey. I hope you enjoy a well-deserved break and that this Thanksgiving brings you joy, rest, and quality time with your loved ones.
