Adult Education and Family Literacy Week and Literacy Festivals
The National Adult and Family Literacy Week took place this year during the week of September 18th, 2023. This national event is an opportunity to raise awareness of adult education and family literacy. To celebrate, Hacienda La Puente Adult Education partnered with our Hacienda La Puente Unified School District’s After-School Program held a variety of activities at 26 schools throughout HLPUSD. This year our students participated in creating their own board games, the Annual Book Giveaway, reading in the park, autobiography maps and redesigning their own book covers!
